Whoa! We just spent 3 ½ hours in Home Depot! That was exhausting!
Can you tell how tired we are from this shopping trip? My eyes always show my exhaustion but Jason is showing you with his entire body. LOL
We arrived home late Wednesday night with our cargo trailer…soon-to-be home-away-from-home…and had a couple of days for talking, measuring and making final plans for the interior. We thought we were prepared when we arrived at Home Depot Saturday to make purchases on flooring, walls, insulation, etc. BUT we were not.
There were so many choices and we needed to be very conscious of the weight of everything. Our Jeep can easily pull 5000 pounds but I would like to stay around 4000…only because it would make me feel better. AND, you never know what we will find on our travels that will end up in the Jeep or camper for the trip back home…we obviously need some weight allowance for treasures found!
Jason did so much figuring and recalculating while we were there that I was super glad I didn’t have to figure all of that out! He amazes me how he can do that.
Doing the math to make sure we are purchasing the correct amounts of wood and insulation. I’m so glad it’s him and not me because I hate math. Yuck!
I think his brain is tired. I know mine is just from watching him do so much math!
So many choices of nails and screws!! Who knew? Well, Jason did…but he is reading to make sure he gets exactly what he needs.
We ended up with the foam board insulation, beadboard paneling for the walls, flooring, different types of wood needed for installation, electrical items, Gorilla Glue (because you can never have enough), Kilz Primer and Sealer and all kinds of other needed items to get this project started!
So thankful to be able to shop for things like this and take on projects like building our own Camper but at the moment we are super glad to be done with this shopping trip! Now, let’s go get some ice cream!
I guess it doesn’t look like much for 3 1/2 hours of shopping but we felt like it was a tremendous amount!!
